3.3 Precursor to Strider and knuckle Walker This evaluation specifically sets out to assess whether the model’s concept of the precursor to hominin bipedalism is also a good candidate for chimpanzee and gorilla knuckle-walking.

Wading models were ranked best here because wading is a mode of locomotion that could feasible act as a precursor to modern human striding as well as chimpnazee/gorilla knuckle walking.
